If you've never booked an end of tenancy clean before, it can be hard to know what to expect. What does it include? How is it different from a regular clean? And will it really make a difference to getting your deposit back?
What is end of tenancy cleaning?
End of tenancy cleaning is a deep, thorough clean of a rental property carried out when a tenant moves out. It's designed to bring the property back to the standard it was in at the start of the tenancy. It's much more thorough than a regular domestic clean — it covers areas that weekly cleaning doesn't normally touch, like the inside of ovens, the inside of kitchen cupboards, limescale in bathrooms, and behind appliances.
How is it different from a regular clean?
A regular clean keeps a home tidy between visits. An end of tenancy clean is a one-off deep clean to meet inspection standards. It takes longer, covers more areas, and goes much deeper into the buildup that accumulates over a full tenancy. Nothing is skipped.
Will it help me get my deposit back?
That's the goal. I clean to the standard that Leicester letting agents and landlords expect at check-out. The most common reasons for deposit deductions are the oven, the bathroom, and dirty floors — I cover all of these in detail. If something gets flagged at your check-out inspection, I'll come back and fix it.
How much does it cost?
End of tenancy cleaning starts from £150 in Leicester. The exact price depends on the size and condition of the property. Get in touch for a free, honest quote.
